Carey W. Jurin, 57, 1817 State Route 83, Millersburg, died Monday, December 06, 2010, at his residence.

He was born Thursday, September 03, 1953, in Columbus to Richard Jurin of Newcomerstown and the late Jean (Harp) Jurin. He was a 1972 graduate of Newcomerstown High School, and retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant. He also retired as a teacher, having taught Jr. ROTC at Central High School in Omaha, Nebraska, Thomas Edison High School in Alexandra, Va., and at Iowa State University.

He was a member of Millersburg American Legion Post, enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He married Pam (Beal) Jurin on Saturday, August 20, 1983.

He is also survived by daughters, Susan Adsitt and husband, Michael of Maple-Valley, Washington, Kimberly Morrissey and husband, Thomas of Omaha, Nebraska, Sunny Berger and husband, Dwayne of Port Washington, Ohio; a son, Shane McMahon of Port Washington, Ohio; eight grandchildren; brothers, Jeff Jurin of Maryland, and Terry Jurin of Newcomerstown, Ohio; a sister, Pam Robinson of New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Services will be Friday, December 10, at 11 a.m. at Addy Funeral Home, 406 W. State Street, Newcomerstown. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Everals Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 09, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.addyfuneralhome.com.
