Four of our 8th-grade students visited Century National Bank’s Newcomerstown office, on Wednesday, Dec. 6, as part of the middle school shadowing program.
They learned about the numerous careers in banking and about the services available to customers, including savings accounts, checking accounts, loans, investments and retirement planning.
After a tour of the bank, the students were tasked with finding ways to educate the bank’s customers about online banking and how to train customers to use the available resources.
The students presented their solutions to bank president Pat Nash, senior vice-president Bruce Kolopajlo, vice-president Bob Bigrigg and branch manager Paulla Emery.
Thanks goes to everyone at Century National Bank for allowing our students this opportunity, and to Mrs. Marilyn Kramer, gifted coordinator for Newcomerstown Schools, for organizing all of the shadowing experiences for our kids!
The NMS students involved in this shadowing experience were Tayte Bryan, Kaylee Ringer, Brianna Robinson and Hayley Williams.
